Patrick Marziale is a seasoned professional in mentorship, wellness, and resiliency training. He served in the active military for over 20 years, holding various roles as an Infantry NCO. It is from his past experiences and the multiple opportunities afforded to him that Patrick found his passion for helping others. He has had exposure to various events and has seen firsthand the impact that mental health can have on individuals in high-stress occupations. Patrick is now turning his skills towards the same mental health services he believed helped save other soldiers. He has since transitioned to working in the mental health field while also giving back to the community by volunteering his time through Project Give Back. He further gained employment through Shield Bearer Counseling Centers, where he combines his experience and education to provide trauma-informed care to his patients. Patrick has held multiple positions throughout his career and has been responsible for training, certifying, and mentoring thousands of soldiers and members of the mental health community.

Patrick holds several certifications and is working on his licensure to support his work with veterans and first responders. Patrick is a certified resiliency trainer from the University of Pennsylvania, a suicide prevention trainer, and a graduate of several military leadership and intervention schools backed by various universities. Currently, Patrick is working to gain his licensure as a Marriage and Family therapist with a specialization in Trauma from National University.

Patrick attributes his shift in career and passion to seeing firsthand the impact of mental health and the personal loss of several of his battle buddies to suicide and the lack of adequate care throughout the healthcare system. He cites those experiences as his motivation to provide care and support to those who need it while working to reduce the number of deaths by suicide each day. He is also passionate about providing education to others so that they, too, can find their path forward and heal from their own events. For Patrick, this is a very dear topic due to suffering injuries during combat operations in 2009 and his own struggles in overcoming a significant life event, and he hopes he can help others find their own drive.
